An exciting opportunity has arisen to develop and pilot a practice improvement program for local government officers involved in design, construction, refurbishment, enovations and ongoing management of building assets. Funded by Sustainability Victoria, through the Victorian Local Sustainability Accord, the aim of the practice improvement program - Accelerating Sustainable Building in Local Government - is to support the continuous improvement of sustainable building practice in the sector through ongoing development of the practitioners concerned.

The program methodology will incorporate adult and group learning principles and involves the local government authorities of Darebin, Moreland, Yarra and Manningham. As the successful candidate, you will have the ability to work with multidisciplinary groups to facilitate and foster a climate of innovative collaboration; a working knowledge of current sustainable design and development technology, initiatives and demonstration projects; a

demonstrated interest in sustainable design and development issues; a demonstrated interest in adult and group learning; project management skills; and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
