Your Building is an initiative of the Cooperative Research Centre for Construction Innovation, in partnership with the Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council and the Australian Greenhouse Office which aims to promote sustainable building and building management practices in commercial buildings in Australia. The Centre for Design has collaborated with other partners in this major CRC project, including in a stakeholder study involving the identification, examination and prioritisation of the needs of five identified user groups; Designers, developers/builders, managers, occupiers and owners. From this information, five checklists (one per user group) consisting of twenty of the highest priority needs of each group were developed along with detailed recommendations which were used to update the content on the Your Building website. Further ongoing work involves research into building materials, products and waste design and specification for website content development.
