EcoDesign Guidelines & Application Form (DIA)
The EcoDesign Innovation Project is being run by the Design Institute of Australia (Victorian Chapter) in conjunction with the Centre for Design at RMITUniversity (CfD) and Product Ecology Pty Ltd to provide an introduction to the key issues associated with environmentally oriented product development.
EcoDesign Innovation is sponsored by EcoRecycle Victoria – the Victorian State Government Agency responsible for helping minimise the creation of waste, promoting the sustainable use of resources and optimising the recovery and recycling of materials at disposal.
EcoDesign is very much a process of collaboration between professional disciplines as well as cooperation and information exchange between associations, agencies and research institutions. Such an approach underpins this project and will seek to further build EcoDesign knowledge and capacity in the coming years. EcoDesign Innovation is an ever-evolving support tool for DIA members, currently at the draft stage of development; through feedback from participating DIA members and workshops the aim is to develop a customised and practical resource for Australian design professionals.
